Tracklist

William Onyeabor – Good Name [Luaka Bop]
This extended piece of Nigerian Afro-pop, lifted from a fantastic compilation, is crying out to be played on the dancefloor.

Cooly G – Hold Me [Hyperdub]
Spaced out, reverb-y house on this new EP, taking a sidestep after the dabbles in pop songwriting on her last album.

Ajuakaja & Andrevski – Rare Birds [Levels]
The Estonian pair draw on some intage hardware for the melodic house on the second release on Jon Rust’s Levels.

Beat Spacek – Alone In Da Sun [Ninja Tune]
Having appeared in various sets and radio shows, this Steve Spacek alias is seeing a proper release, preceding an album.

Paleman – The Day [Swamp 81]
Tough and sharply produced house from Paleman for the newest release on Loefah’s imprint.

Kelis – Jerk Ribs (Mount Kimbie Remix) [Ninja Tune]
A blur of house grooves and funk vibes taken from Kelis’ culinary themed album due for release on Ninja Tune this April.

Débruit & Alsarah – Jibal Alnuba [Soundway Records]
A fusion of Sudanese vocals and French production, the ethereal sounds of Débruit & Alsarah will be one to watch in 2014.

Souleance – Mais Um [First World Records]
Following the release of ‘La Beat Tape’ back in 2013, the French duo return with this 80’s influenced electro track.
