A man has been left seriously injured after falling outside the Parkinson Building.
The 25 year old male was taken to Leeds General Infirmary in a critical condition after the accident occurred in the early hours of Monday morning. It is believed the man was drunk and fell from a five foot wall. He is not thought to be a Leeds student.
Crime scene tape cordoned off the corner of the Parkinson building until approximately 11am on Monday and scientific support vans were at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
PC Matt Guy, the University’s police liaison office, said: “My advice to everyone on a night out is to stick with your mates, especially if they have had a lot to drink. It’s when we are all at our most vulnerable.”
West Yorkshire Police are asking for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
