If I were to sum up designer Erdem Moralioglu’s collection in three words, I’d use ‘elegant’, ‘pretty’ and ‘fantastically floral’. Okay, so that’s four, but just three wouldn’t have done it enough justice. All you fashionistas who embraced the pastel trend last summer – listen up: your favourite shades are coming back. Yes, that’s right, Erdem’s palette of dusty blues and lilacs, corals and delicate pinks were at the forefront of his designs, and each piece entered the catwalk with an heir of sweetness and grace. Full-length skirts were printed with rose designs, whilst structured dresses were complemented with an elegant high neckline. Erdem used an eclectic display of fabrics for his designs including crochet, sheer, and lace, and texture was taken to a whole new level as garments were decorated with three-dimensional flowers. Snakeskin prints even made an appearance, adding an innovative twist to the predominantly floral and dainty theme. The audience were left in awe of Erdem’s breathtaking collection, and we’ve no doubt in saying that you will be too.
