Newly established events company, Yutaru, have announced their first fundraising event – hosting DOMI at The Wardrobe this upcoming June.
The rise of immoral austerity policies implemented from Westminster has coincided with the birth of charity-focused events that have incorporated music and culture to alleviate the many social problems affecting the nation’s most vulnerable individuals. From Cosmic Slop to Brudenell Groove, Leeds has pioneered this philanthropic movement, as locally based charity nights have strived to give something back to the community. Yutaru is the newest member on the block.
As a way of bringing together the growing live electronica music scene in Leeds, Yutaru’s headline show will take place on Wednesday June 12th featuring DOMI. The events company have commendably stated that all ticket sales will be donated to the Music and Arts Production [MAP] Charity in line with the #doitformap campaign. MAP Charity has recently gained publicity following the endorsement of Four Tet, Floating Points and Gilles Peterson with regards to raising money for the charity through for their electronic music events.
Tickets are currently being sold at a variety of outlets and can be found by clicking the following links: Eventbrite, Luna Tickets and Jumbo Records. Advance tickets are on sale at now £5 and will be more on the door.
