Take a look at our favourite faux fur brands

Fur has always been in, but animal cruelty is no longer in any way fashionable; it’s faux or no. Moving away from animal cruelty has thankfully become a much bigger movement over the past few years, with the likes of house names in fashion such as Gucci, Armani and Vivienne Westwood joining the fur-free movement. However, mass farming in China has driven the price of real fur down and faux fur is now more expensive to produce than ever. So the question is: who are the brands that we need to look out for when searching for good quality faux fur?

Miranda Dunn London was at the top of my 2017 Christmas list and wins my vote for the best up and coming faux fur brand. Her Instagram page is slowly growing a loyal following with the likes of bloggers such as Chloe Samwell-Smith (chloelovestoshop) gushing over her fabulous bespoke faux fur coats. They are completely to die for, made out of the best quality materials with beautiful colours, and the option to personalise to make your coat extra special.

Jakke

Jakke is another brand to look out for, giving faux fur a modern, youthful revamp with bold colours and prints. It’s more affordable than the more luxury faux fur brands, but better quality than your typical high street shop faux fur.

Winter is coming 💫

The Kooples aren’t solely a faux fur fashion brand, but their coats are chic and the styles are fresh and unique. They’re relatively expensive depending on the style you choose – there isn’t a great range of choice at the moment – but the product is good quality and very wearable in comparison to some of the bolder prints and colours available from other brands.

French Connection

French Connection are obviously the better-known brand included in this list, but I was seriously impressed with their A/W range of faux fur coats. While there were a lot of the same-old, same-old in the high street shops, French Connection managed to bring something new to the faux fur game with interesting, classy styles with a more tailored look. Their coats would be considered very affordable in the world of faux fur, making it all the more tempting to just purchase them all. This is definitely one to look out for!
