Butter Side Up returns a month after its explosive 6th birthday party and will once again fill our favourite basement with phenomenal music. Following on from Sonja Moonear’s takeover of the night last month, Prosumer (Achim Brandenburg), who is no stranger to Butter Side Up, will make his return to Leeds.
Hailing from Saarbrücken, Prosumer made his name in Berlin and now calls Edinburgh home. This former Panorama Bar resident will undoubtedly capture the hearts (and ears) of the groovers with his no-nonsense approach to DJing, an art form he’s been perfecting since the mid-nineties. He’s released on Running Back, Playhouse and Ostgut Ton and an incredible 3 hour set of Chicago, Detroit and New York house can be expected.
The closing set of the night will come from Leeds’ very own Simon Scott, founder of SubDub and Outlook/Dimensions, whose extensive record collection and experience will take the party into the early hours. Support comes from Butter Side Up resident Hugh Bailey.
Get yourselves down to Wire on Friday for a party you don’t want to miss.
Final release tickets available here.
