It’s back; and this season it’s bigger and better than ever before. If you haven’t been buying into fringe-mania already, you soon will be. As if it wasn’t already popular enough, this season’s runways have once again showcased fringe in every way, shape and form. And we are loving it.
Perhaps the best thing about fringe is that you can wear it any way you want to. Hemlines, jackets, accessories – you name it. Fringing can give an outfit a whole new look – whether it’s soft, glamorous, flapper-style fringing; or the more choppy, bold, boho-inspired look.

What’s more, the beauty of fringing is that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to embrace this popular trend. High street chains have been quick to embrace this trend hot off the Fashion Week runways, offering a more purse-friendly alternative which still looks fabulous at the same time.
Fringed items are so key this season because they are a simple, yet eye-catching detail which can add a textured and layered effect to any outfit. For example, combine a fringed item with other staples such as a knitted jumper or a roll neck top. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even combine multiple fringed items, such as a top and an accessory such as a bag or shoes – but be careful not to overdo it!

Fashion isn’t all about the lavish designers, or the big high-street names we all know. Smaller, independent shops are like hidden gems to find. We Love Pixie is one of those gems, and while I was in their local shop in Headingley recently, I found this amazing fringed necklace for just £10.
