This Saturday Soul Rebels are hosting their 2016 opening party in the Wardrobe. Those who made it down to the last Soul Rebels Party back in November with Nubiyan Twist will not need any convincing that this is going to be another brilliant night. Saturday will showcase a trio of wonderful genres with headliners Kalyan bringing the soul, Dulahli electronic hip-hop and Michael Bird a more acoustic side with his soft vocals.

Kalyan are a 10 piece dub/soul/jazz/rock collective who formed in Leeds. Seeing 10 ridiculously talented musicians is always exciting, and this is elevated further by the enthusiasm that Kalyan have when performing, a happiness that reflects itself in uplifting the crowd. With upbeat tracks like ‘Soul Searching’, which is made up of a mix of soulful vocals and glorious bass, it is impossible not to dance with Kalyan.
