Preview – Flux present Start of Summer

Leeds based Flux are back with their ‘Start of Summer Party’ this Friday. Forget about deadlines and exams for the day, and head down to Beaver Works to celebrate the creative and cultural scene Leeds has to offer.

There will be over thirty DJs playing sixteen hours of music across Beaver Works’ six rooms. Joining them will be food vendors, art exhibitions and visual instillations to give you plenty of things to do, taste, and see throughout Friday and into the small hours of Saturday morning.

And that is not all, a lot of other artists have been announced, some of which have influences from around all over the world.

Nubiyan Twist, the dub, hip hop and afro beat outfit are headlining the terrace, and in the red room is funk inspired South–African DJ Lakuti. If you’re looking to bop to something a bit different, head to the Black Box room to check out ambient house DJ Kesper and the Milkman Delivers DJs. For something mesmeric, drift down to the basement to catch Oracy’s deep Chicago house. Let your hair down after the long easter break, but you better get searching because tickets are sold out.
