The University will take on rival Leeds Beckett to be in with a chance of winning Best International University this year.
Leeds has been rated among the best institutions for City Life, and is also competing against Yorkshire rivals Hull and Sheffield for the title of Best Student Union.
Rankings from more than 20,000 student reviews have placed Leeds in the top 10 universities for three categories in the WhatUni? Student Choice Awards 2015.
One institution will be named University of the Year when results are announced on 23rd April. The title is currently held by Swansea University.
Community Officer George Bradley told The Gryphon, ‘It’s brilliant to see students have submitted reviews about the University of Leeds. To see LUU get recognised as part of the uni experience is obviously ace, and that the University is an attractive offer to international students.’
‘Leeds is a fantastic city to spend time studying in, and I think prospective students should take this sort of thing into account when they choose where to study.’
Shortlists are compiled from student feedback on areas including accommodation, clubs and societies, job prospects and support services.
The University of Leeds received no nominations in the awards last year.
Leeds College of Art was the only Leeds-based institution to win an award in 2014, coming first in the ‘University Facilities’ category.
