Along with the Timberland boots craze, another classic to consider is the traditional DM. Dr Martens leather boots have been iconic since their debut in 1947 and their popularity is ever-increasing with the student population and mainstream fashion. The classic durable style is completely timeless and each year the brand releases the same design in hundreds of colours and patterns. However, recently DM’s have been promoting their original British made boots which retail at £215 and are made in the original Northamptonshire factory instead of Thailand or China (where the rest of their shoes are made).
The wonderful thing about this iconic shoe is it supports British industry and promotes heritage fashion. It also hardly needs to be mentioned that DMs provide insanely comfortable footwear that will last a lifetime.
DM’s look especially great with ankle grazing trousers and a crop top or use them to toughen up a pretty smock dress.
Although Dr Martens are very pricey, particularly if you want a British made pair, they certainly aren’t a fleeting fashion and will stomp you forwards in many years to come.
