Preview: Brotherhood x Vagabondz x People Just Do Nothing

This Friday sees Leeds collectives Brotherhood and Vagabondz join forces with People Just Do Nothing‘s KURUPT FM. Following the huge success of their October Vagabondz appearance, the KURUPT crew return to Leeds to bring you the best in beats, bars and bass. Taking leave from their BBC mockumentary (which is set to return in 2015), the Brentford boys have met international demand by hosting and appearing at nights and festivals across the continent, making KURUPT FM the ‘1st Global Local Pirate Radio Station’ – a true achievement. Sole controller/head honcho MC Grindah (formerly Sniper) aka. THE Garage pioneer will be joined by the likes of Chabbudy G, Beats and Decoy to demonstrate the lyrical capabilities of the KURUPT FM family.

Also featuring on the line-up, and not to be overlooked, are some of the biggest up and coming DJs in Grime and Bass, including XL Recording’s Mumdance, who’s recent collaborations with Novelist have earned him well-deserved attention. 22 year old Chloé Robinson (DJ Barely Legal), the self-professed lover of ‘gun-finger music’ is also set to feature. Famed for her eclectic sets grounded in Grime, Bass and Dubstep and having achieved success through radio outlets Rinse FM and BBC’s 1Xtra, Barely Legal’s is a set not to be missed and a name to watch in 2015. Brotherhood also welcomes two of its own, Silas & Snare Surgeon. The Grime duo will play out over Brotherhood’s set-up, one of the most renowned sound-systems of the North. Night Slugs favourites and UK Bass producers, Girl Unit also feature alongside Murlo, Chimpo and more.

The entire line-up is testament to Vagabondz and Brotherhood’s ability to identify and respond to a niche in the Leeds music scene, and from the overwhelmingly positive response, we’re sure there’s more to come.
Brotherhood x Vagabondz x People Just Do Nothing will play host to Beaver Works on Friday 30th. Tickets are available from Ticket Arena.
