Food | Beacons Festival: LSi’s Street Food and Drink Not to Miss

There isn’t long to go until Beacons Festival returns to the Yorkshire Dales. With an already outstanding reputation for their culinary offerings, the festival’s organisers are promising to raise the bar even higher this time around. With so much on offer you might need a hand in picking. Luckily, LSi is here to give you a preview of just some of the finest festival food ever to hit Skipton.

#1. Bundobust
Vegetarians rejoice! Bundobust are the new kids on the street food block, bringing to Beacons exciting, meat free Indian cuisine. Then, what better way to chase your food down than with one of their own craft beers?

#2. Las Paelleras
Skipton never felt more Mediterranean, or so full, than when in the presence of Las Paelleras. Following last year’s success at Beacons, LSi is ready and waiting to return for their giant Paellas and tapas, packed full with all the flavours of Spain.

#3. Mamas Jerk Station
These guys are risking it all, coming up from London to the colder and harder north. With them, they are bringing the finest Jerk and a bit of Caribbean sunshine. Jerk Chicken, Jerk Pork Sausages and legendary Jerk Veggie Bean Cake… are your mouths watering yet?

#4. Magic Rock
What makes their beers so magical? Their modernity in the face of an age of discerning beer drinkers. Beer here is created for flavour, but don’t worry, you’ll still feel satisfied, and perhaps a bit tipsy.

#5. Noisette Bakehouse
For sweeter treats, Noisette will satisfy even the greatest sugar craving. Offering everything from the classic to contemporary in the world of confectionary out of their classic French H van, this is one for bakers and sweet lovers alike.

#6. Indie Ices
If warm weather decides to grace Skipton with its presence, then do not miss the festival debut of Indie Ices. Their Kulfis and Lassis are award winning, and come in flavours seldom seen in ice cream, like cardamom, saffron and pistachio. They even get the Paul Hollywood and Great Taste Award seal of approval for the best in Anglo-Indian ice cream.
