Theatre Preview | Opera Soc's Ruddigore

Gilbert and Sullivan’s Ruddigore tells the story of the cursed house of Murgatroyd. Following a run-in with a witch who he tried to burn at the stake, Sir Rupert Murgatroyd brought a curse upon his line: all Barons of Ruddigore must commit one crime per day or else they perish. This causes all manner of problems for the cast of the show, who try to balance love and everyday life with avoiding the curse. In order to have a truly happy ending, someone has to break the curse, but how?

Ruddigore runs from 7–10 May in the Riley Smith Hall. Tickets £7 adult/£5 student. £1 discount on opening night. Contact mail@operasoc.co.uk
