National Express has this week launched new long distance coach services from Leeds universities taking students across the country.
Coaches will pick up passengers from Parkinson Steps for students from the University and from Otley road for Leeds Metropolitan.
The services will take students to locations including Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield and London, with single fares starting at £1.60.
National Express UK Coach Managing Director Tom Stables said: “Students need access to convenient, comfortable and affordable travel, so we’re pleased to be able to
introduce new services making the return to campus or trips home as smooth and easy as possible.”
The expansion of services comes as passenger journeys on National Express made by young people using a discounted travel card have nearly doubled compared to 2012, with almost 800,000 passenger journeys having been made so far this year.
