Halloween has crept up on us again and it’s time to get creative. With mani-swag reaching an all time high on the likes of Instagram, we’re giving you some spook-spiration with our top picks and how-tos of halloween themed nails.
Madamluck used three coats of Poison Apple by Black Cat Lacquer plus a topcoat to create these gorgeous red ombre nails. This polish is thermal, going dark red when cold and becoming more ruby looking when warm. The skull apple was drawn freehand (like all of Madamluck’s amazing work!), and is a really eerie design for Halloween.
Natalie Brookes used a stamping plate to create this spooky pumpkin design.
A simpler set of designs that anybody can do are by our very own Ani Street of AH Nail Art, who did this glow in the dark design freehand, using dotting tools (which can be acquired very cheaply from Amazon or Ebay). This same combination of freehand and the dotting tool was used to create her pumpkin designs. Or why not try this stunning Black/charcoal coloured base infused with hot pink glitters, for a dark look that can still be rocked once the frolics are over?
These blood splatter nails would go well with any dead bride/cheerleader/animal or weird and wonderful Halloween outfit you can think of. These are an unusual idea and simple alternative . All you need is a red and white nail polish and just flick the red over the white – perfect if you’re less confident and new to nail art.
Baroque inspired swirl nails are perfect for those who love Halloween but aren’t quite ready to go all gothic. If you love your cute Halloween outfits these would look great.
If you’ve got time and a steady hand these spider nails are surely going to nail it in completing your Halloween outfit! Just create the black base and use a thin white French tip polish to create the spider webs.
