Although the semester’s not yet over, the Christmas club nights are just around the corner, so this week LS Clubs have put together a small selection of previews for some of our top choices for Christmas clubbing this year. Happy Holidays!
Vagabonds Breakfast Club Launch – New York Loft Christmas Party

Not to be confused with the bass-heavy Vagabondz, Vagabonds Breakfast Club is a new night, launching this Christmas with their first party. The night has a few things going for it which set it apart from other club nights in Leeds this Christmas. Firstly, as yet the venue is a secret, but an “airy top floor loft space” has been promised, in an attempt to somehow recreate the Manhattan skyline and a hedonistic old New York atmosphere. (Update – it has now been revealed as the top floor of Munro House, Duke Street.) The night is also more specifically aimed at “hungry nocturnal beat freaks”, as they’re providing an “all night breakfast” starting at 7pm, along with a cocktail bar. As for the music, disco and house is on the menu, and hopefully this will be the start of a series of fun, if a little unusual, parties from VBC.
Radio Frequency Live Christmas Bash

Radio Frequency FM is one of the finest purveyors of underground club music in Leeds, and the pirate station’s semi-regular ‘Radio Frequency Live’ events always deliver the goods too. The upcoming Christmas Bash is no exception, with plenty of homegrown talent booked, including bassline legend Nastee Boi and house producer Chris Gresswell, as well as Leeds drum & bass artist Loz Contreras, and plenty more. Additional support comes from some of the regular Radio Frequency FM DJs, and at just 5 quid, it’s a bargain and a great chance to see what Leeds underground music is really about.
Insomnia Santas & Sluts Party

Although we’re not quite sure what to expect from the promise of “1000 Santas & Sluts!”, the attraction of Insomnia has always been the music, and judging from the lineup the Christmas party is going to be just as awesome as their usual monthly events. This time sees Ko Kane top the bill with a live performance from Tom Zanetti, as well as performances from a few of the other Leeds-based jackin house innovators, Nick Hannam and Tom Garnett. The night will also feature a special appearance by Lorenzo, whose name has been attached to practically every jackin banger of late. With plenty of extras like Christmas presents given for the best costumes and a Christmas club makeover to add to the fun, Insomnia easily wins our vote for most anticipated Christmas event in Leeds this year.
