Hard Times

Todd Terry
The Warehouse
Saturday 24th November
11pm – 6am
£12

Celebrating their 19th birthday earlier this year, Hard Times is one of the longest running club nights in the North, alongside such Leeds staples as Back to Basics (who celebrated their 21st this month).  Although their events aren’t as frequent as Basics, Hard Times have built a strong reputation over the years, booking a series of highly prestigious house and techno DJs with recent examples including Kenny Dope, his Masters at Work partner Louie Vega, and David Morales.

This Saturday will see New York house veteran Todd Terry take to the stage, at the equally legendary Warehouse club. Affectionately referred to by fans as ‘Todd the God’, Terry pioneered the New York sound, fusing classic disco with a sample-heavy hip-hop attitude and virtually inventing US garage house around two decades ago.

The man is no stranger to Hard Times either, having recorded his classic mix ‘A Night in the Life of Todd Terry’ here way back in 1995, making this installment of Hard Times especially exciting.

With £9 early bird tickets now sold out, normal tickets can be purchased from www.theleedswarehouse.com for £12
