Lady Gaga’s New Single ‘Stupid Love’ Leaks Before Release

Twitter was abuzz last Tuesday night and for excellent reason: ‘Stupid Love’, reportedly the first single from Gaga’s 6th studio album, leaked, much to fans’ delight.

With speculation having been built over the past few weeks (months, years, Gaga’s fans have been STARVED) for the pop superstar’s much-desired new album, the leak was almost guaranteed. The power of the Little Monsters (what Gaga calls her legions of fans) meant that any hint of LG6 would have been hunted down, analysed, and trending on Twitter before you could finish listening to the track.

Reported to only be a demo version of the eventual product, ‘Stupid Love’ is the kind of song made for dancing to in your room when wine-drunk. A perfect song for the upcoming summer, Gaga fights against her previous heartbreak and frees herself in a declaration for her new ‘stupid love’.  A disco-pop bop, if you can find it online it is worth a cheeky download before it gets taken down by Gaga’s record label. Clubs and drag queens have already begun to perform the song in its unfinished state, showing that when released in its final form, ‘Stupid Love’ will continue Gaga’s trend of dominating the charts.

But what else do we know about Lady Gaga’s upcoming 6th studio album? Tracks ‘Feels So Good’ and ‘Chances’ were registered recently with some surprising additions to the line-up of writers: N-Dubz. With Tulisa having previously written ‘Scream and Shout’ for will.i.am and Britney Spears, it’s possible that Gaga’s team brought her on to write, or even sampled an N-Dubz track on ‘Feels So Good’.

Fans will remember how in 2013 ‘Applause’, the lead single from Artpop leaked and Gaga took the reins, releasing the final version early in order to achieve maximum downloads. Keep your eyes peeled for a similar move soon.
