The Four Best Pizza Places in Leeds

There are an infinite number of places to get pizza in Leeds, and yet we would always find ourselves relying on the easiness of the 2-4-1 Domino’s offer, so we don’t have to leave the sofa. But whilst we’re here at the University of Leeds, we wanted to make the most of the city and have narrowed down our four favourite places for pizza. Whether you want to grab a quick slice or enjoy a nice meal with friends, we’ve got you covered.

Dough Boys at Belgrave Music Hall:
A firm favourite amongst students, Belgrave is home to Dough Boys Pizza, who serve homemade pizza by the slice at an average of £3.30. With at least six varieties on offer everyday (including vegetarian and vegan options), they offer a wide choice of toppings, from the hot and spicy Salami of Darknessto the vegetarian Queen Brie. Sunday to Thursday 12pm till 7pm, and Friday and Saturday 12pm till 5pm they also offer half-priced slices – perfect for meals with friends, without breaking the bank!

Simpatico:
This cosy restaurant in the heart of Leeds offers a casual experience with its pizza dining. Simpatico produce fresh pizza with a variety of toppings for meat-lovers and vegetarians alike, sourced both locally in Yorkshire and all the way from Italy. Each slice is around £4 and the menu changes regularly to incorporate less traditional toppings, such as the ‘Yorkshire Pudding Pizza’.

Da Mario Pizzeria
As Leeds’ longest established Italian restaurant; the relaxed, informal dining experience makes Da Mario’s a great choice for a sit-down meal with friends. Situated in the middle of town, they offer a variety of freshly made pizzas, including vegan options, as well as other traditional Italian cuisine. Whilst most pizzas average at roughly £11, the early bird menu allows for two courses at the price of £14.95, so roughly only £7.50 per pizza.

Although pizza is not all they offer, the menu boasts a ‘make your own pizza’ style, starting at £8.95 for a margarita pizza, plus £1 each for extra toppings.
