As the only camping jazz festival, Love Supreme is the perfect weekend for any fan of jazz music. Claiming to bring ‘a touch of the European scene to the UK’, this festival is the perfect opportunity for both great music and a weekend getaway to start off your summer right.
Since launching in 2013, Love Supreme has been no stranger to exciting headliners, with this year being no exception. The incredible Gladys Knight will be headlining the Saturday, and Ms. Lauryn Hill will be taking centre stage on Sunday- both iconic artists and performers who are certainly not to to be missed. Fans of contemporary music will also be able to catch The Cinematic Orchestra, Mahalia, and Snarky Puppy (the keyboard player for whom, Bill Laurance, attended the University of Leeds) over the course of the weekend.
The festival also incorporates dance lessons, cabaret, poetry. spoken word, talks and lectures during the day, providing a wide variety of activities for everyone. There will also be DJs and club nights until 2 am. So if you’re a party animal, an intellectual, or both, there’s definitely a place for you at Love Supreme!
If you’re not convinced enough already, Love Supreme has a large emphasis on sustainability, with 2019 implementing various new policies surrounding re-usable water bottles, coffee cups and recycling. So, safe in the knowledge that damage to our lovely planet is as minimal as possible, be sure to grab yourself a ticket (click here).
