Based in Cornwall, Boardmasters is a festival unlike any other. Admittedly, a festival abroad appeals to pretty much everyone, but for students, the money required for tickets, travel etc isn’t always possible- so why not go and dance on the sunny Cornish coast instead?

Boardmasters has enjoyed decades of successful music, as well as surfing and various other wellbeing activities (yoga, an eco-spa, and many more relaxing treatments as well). The line-up also speaks for itself. Most recently announced, was that legendary hip-hop group Wu Tang Clan will be headlining on the Friday night, when The Wombats, DJ EZ, Razorlight, and special guest Giggs will also be performing. Saturday will see big names such as Dizzee Rascal, Franz Ferdinand, Brit’s Critic Choice Award winner Sam Fender, as well as the phenomenal Florence + The Machine. As for Sunday, Foals will be headlining, following the release of ‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost, Pt 1’, alongside Jorja Smith, Plan B, and Lewis Capaldi. The real beauty of this lineup is that it has something for pretty much everyone, guaranteeing you five days of fun.

Need even more reason to go? Boardmasters aspires to be as eco-friendly as possible, with beach cleans taking place during the festival, as well as a mission to be free of single-use plastics by 2020. So, take comfort in the fact that not too much damage is being done to the planet, and get yourself a ticket!
