The Wombats are ready to infect Leeds with their glitterbug as they get ready to take their fourth studio album Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Night back to the north where they originally formed. Following their massive triumph at Reading and Leeds Festival over the summer, as they transformed “into a slick, synthesiser-augmented, funny pop machine”, comes an evening that will surely follow suit to make for an eventful Saturday night.
With fifteen years under their belt in the music industry, the indie-pop phenomenon are sure to make it a night filled with upbeat, feel good music with an edge. Expect to hear recognisable songs like ‘Let’s Dance to Joy Division’ and ‘Greek Tragedy’ along with huge new releases from their new album ‘Turn’ and ‘Cheetah Tongue’. A sound recognisable to the nation with a coming of age feel, it is no surprise that tickets have now sold out for this event.
Only stop two on their UK tour, not only will they be delivering in the First Direct Arena on the 26th in Leeds, but will no doubt continue as these beautiful people do the opposite of ruining your night.
