Leeds Coffee Shop to Sell ‘Piers Morgan’ Vegan Donuts for Charity

Tomorrow, popular student destination Temple Coffee and Donuts will be selling their new ‘Piers Vegan Donut’, topped with an edible picture of Piers Morgan.

The completely vegan donut will retail for £3.50, and Temple Coffee and Donuts have announced that all money raised from its sales, not just the profits, will go to children’s charity Unicef!

Morgan was the subject of controversy on Twitter last month, when he called Greggs bakery ‘PC-ravaged clowns’

Piers Morgan, co-host of Good Morning Britain, was the subject of controversy on Twitter last month, when he called Greggs bakery ‘PC-ravaged clowns’, after they released a vegan alternative to their infamous sausage rolls. Morgan later deleted this tweet, but has since branded himself a ‘vegan victim’ as a result of the backlash he received.

In an Instagram post, the Kirkstall-based coffee shop said:

“We find it very sad that crying about sausage rolls takes the focus off the real tragedies that are happening in the world.

“We thought seeing as he’s caused such a stir over something so stupid that we would try and flip the negative and turn it in to a positive if we could.

“Let’s eat his stupid face and remember what’s important.”

100 of the donuts will be on sale tomorrow (Saturday 19th January) for £3.50, at their store in Burley Court, Kirkstall.
