2017 has been a busy year for Ho99o9 (pronounced “Horror”). Having started off the year supporting The Dillinger Escape Plan on their final UK tour, they released United States of Horror in May and returned over the summer for festival season, packing out the Bixler tent at ArcTanGent Festival in August. And on top of that, they dropped their new single – ‘Neighborhood Watch’ – at the end of October. You have to wonder where these two get the energy…
The pair’s visceral blend of punk and industrial hip-hop is loaded with venom – predominantly aimed at glaring social issues such as systemic racism and police brutality in the USA – and tinged with tongue-in-cheek humour. The coming month sees the two-piece back for one more round, offering up this powerful concoction on their own headline tour which hits the Brudenell Social Club on the 12th December.
