With each term jam-packed with high calibre events, leaving Leeds for the summer period often leaves students missing the city’s innate flair for nightlife. This summer however, Cirque Du Soul are returning to the festival circuit with ‘El Dorado Festival’, an event which promises to bring the same style they bring to Leeds to a national audience.
Set on the 30th June to the 3rd July, the festival boasts 90 acts, all plying their trade in the 5,000 acre Eastnor Castle Deer Park. The castle itself sits at the base of the Malvern Hills, an officially recognised Area of Outstanding Beauty, and consists of plenty of lush greenery and a lake. Within this space the Cirque Du Soul team are building eight stages, as well as a multitude of interactive areas for a whole spectrum of revellers.
The line-up reflects everything we have come to love Cirque du Soul for. Well-respected, top-class DJ’s such as TQD and My Nu Leng mingle with popular party-starting acts such as The Sugarhill Gang and Gentleman’s Dub Club, whilst carnivalesque attractions include a space-hopper circuit, slip-n-vibe slide and stilt walkers.
As co-founder of Cirque Du Soul Luke Wolfman notes “We’ve received an incredible outpouring of support and are working tirelessly to realise our vision of El Dorado. This year will be better and bolder than the last.”
Tickets are selling fast, but can still be purchased here at £45 for a day ticket and £110 for a weekend camping ticket.
