What better way to kick off the festival season than with a trip to the Isle of Wight? Exams have just finished and it’s time to blow the cobwebs away with some hippy-esque vibes.
This year’s Isle of Wight Festival has a deliciously eclectic line-up which has something to offer everyone. Okay, so unfortunately Rod Steward is going to be there – but there’s plenty of other acts which are worth making a song and dance for.
The promise of watching the punk diva Chrissie Hynde grace the stage with The Pretenders had me sold within seconds. From exciting upcoming acts, the line-up features the likes of Bang Bang Romeo, The Sherlocks and Elle Exxe. Additionally, if you’re hoping for a hint of nostalgia, that’s covered too with The Kooks, Kaiser Chiefs AND Scouting For Girls. Who wouldn’t want to dance like it’s 2011 to ‘She’s so Lovely’?!
With a range of other exciting events going on over the course of the weekend including Cirque de la Quirk, Electro Love (a purely 80s disco!!) and the opportunity to enjoy the weekend from a wood-fired outdoor spa – this is one festival you’d be foolish to miss.
