What more can be said of Iron Maiden that hasn’t been said already?

Instrumental to the success of the NWOBHM scene of the early ‘80s, early pioneers of both the Progressive and Melodic metal subgenres, and possibly metal’s best-known band outside of Black Sabbath and Metallica, Iron Maiden have reached a level of influence and respect which few other artists in the history of guitar music can attest to.

Even if we were to completely ignore every innovation to be found in Maiden’s unparalleled seven-album run of the ‘80s, we are still faced with another nine studio albums of material, almost all of which (bar a few ‘90s releases which shall not be named) manage to maintain the high level of quality found on the band’s most memorable releases.

Iron Maiden are coming to First Direct Arena on 11th May, and given the band’s reputation for jaw-dropping live performances, you can rest assured you’ll be getting your money’s worth.
