In just 7 months, the most iconic festival in Britain will return! Reading and Leeds has seen the likes of Foo Fighters, Green Day and Radiohead grace its stage, gathering thousands of festival goers every year. Up for best festival of the year by NME, here’s what to expect from Reading and Leeds 2017.
Muse are the first band announced to be headlining this years long anticipated line up. Returning again after 6 years, the pure rock gods sent from the heavens above will no doubt be bringing back their timeless tracks as well as showcasing their most recent 2015 album Drones. Expect an out of this world setlist, crazy guitar riffs and pure Muse madness.
Indie rock band Bastille are also set to play alongside Muse. With the 2016 album Wild World scoring No.1 with 36,000 sales and nominated for best album, there is likely to be a big turn out for the 4 London lads. Even if you haven’t given Wild World a listen, there’s no doubt about it that band will still be playing some Bastille classics like ‘Bad Blood’ and ‘Pompeii’.
If you are not a massive fan of rock or indie rock, fear not, as electronic trio Major Lazer are another big announcement for this year Reading and Leeds. Winners at the NRJ awards and having spent 5 weeks at number 1 with ‘Cold water’, Major Lazer are to take the stage by storm. Glass Animals, Danny Brown, Architects and While She Sleep also are also the first to be announced, however with many more acts to be released, keep your eyes open to catch who is next to play at arguably the greatest (and muddiest) festival of 2017!
