Floating onto stage with glittery cheeks and a Princess-Leia-esque jumpsuit, Polish singer Brodka managed to make Leeds Beckett Union shimmer with her stratospheric vocals and celestial aura. The crowd were lulled by the band’s starry synths, which melted into Brodka’s heartfelt vocals. After paying tribute to the women who are protesting against the new anti-abortion law in Poland, Brodka then released an uninhibited energy as she dived into new, punchy song ‘My Name is Youth.’ The rest of the set projected a wonderful vitality through punchy drums and distorted basslines, as each band member let loose and immersed themselves into the sound.
