Following the success of last year’s Fools Paradise Festival, which saw the likes of Hot Chip, So Solid Crew and Big Narstie perform in the diversely decorated University Union, Good Life returns on the 24th September with even more arenas and a strong line-up guaranteed to exceed last year’s success.
Good Life’s popularity is undoubtedly due to their ability to provide wide-ranging acts that are popular with revellers looking for all genres. This event appears no different, with acts such as the electronic Crazy P, Ghetts, Blonde and Fatman Scoop all performing at the various jungle themed arenas. The highlight of the line-up is, in fact, Jungle, the 7 strong modern soul collective that set the bar high with their funk-filled set at Flux back in April, and will surely match this energy and production in the larger venue of the Union.
This fusion of genre with a selection of grime, garage, electronic and funk adds to the festival party vibe that Good Life are intending to create. This is made more effective with the promise of a variety of arenas, such as the ‘Enchanted Forest’, which will house this year’s headliners in a magical garden setting complete with trees and lanterns. Other arenas that are sure to be memorable include the ‘Arctic Dance-Off,’ a winter-themed outdoor marquee with a silent disco and the ‘Rainforest Disco,’ a tropical bamboo stage in keeping with the jungle theme.
With over 30 acts and 9 arenas, there will definitely be more than enough to see at the 7pm- 6am event, with food vendors, a cocktail bar and a BBQ on the terrace to keep you going until the next morning. There is also a special guest headliner who is yet to be confirmed. Fools Paradise encourages fancy dress, so commit to the theme and dress up like a forest fairy.
Tickets are still available on final release here.
