The University of Leeds has moved up in the rankings by seven positions in this year’s Guardian’s University League Tables 2017, overtaking universities including York and Edinburgh. It now ranks joint 16th with Southampton with a score of 74.9.
The score was based on factors such as course, teaching and feedback satisfaction as well as student to staff ratio, spending per student and career prospects after six months. The university has also finished in 9th place with regards to student’s satisfaction with their course, and is also top of the leader board for Accounting and Finance, Agriculture and in 2nd place for Anatomy and Physiology.
Today’s news is another excellent result for the university, who moved up five places from 28th to 23rd in last year’s rankings from the Guardian and, more recently, were placed sixth for best student experience in the United Kingdom in the Times Higher Education Student Experience survey.
