The University of Leeds offers students the sixth best student experience in the country according to a survey released today.
In the latest Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey, an annual survey of 15,000 undergraduates, Leeds has managed to climb three places from last year to finish sixth in the overall rankings, taking it above the University of Cambridge in overall student satisfaction. This is the sixth year in a row that Leeds has ranked in the top ten best universities in the country according to the survey.
Loughborough has been ranked top, and Sheffield have retained third spot, making them the only university in Yorkshire to rank higher than Leeds in the standings.
The survey measures universities across 21 different categories including the structure of courses, quality of facilities, and social life. Leeds ranked highly across many of these measures, and appeared in the top two of three categories. Leeds came out top in the “good social life” measure, joint with Newcastle, Sheffield, and Cardiff, and joint second in both “good extra-curricular activities/societies” and “good environment on campus/around university”.
