The revolutionised trainer appeared on the Chanel Couture catwalk back in January 2014 and since then designers and sport brands have been consistently collaborating, such as Missoni and Converse and Givenchy and Nike. This is a prominent street style trend, especially during fashion week where the need to be comfortable is paramount when running between shows. These trainers are a lot more flattering and dare I say it elegant compared to the 90’s revival of high tops in the last couple of years. Whether you want a simple skate shoe in one colour or a more elaborate trainer with multi fluorescent shades this trend is fully adaptable to any wardrobe.
An effortless and easy look is skate shoes, such as Converse, Supergas or Vans with streamlined tailored trousers, polo neck and blazer. Alternatively, glorify bright trainers by keeping separates all the same colour. The great thing about the trainer as a trend is that it offers you the chance to really juxtapose styles and experiment.
