I have never been quite so excited than for the return of the cowboy boot! It is the ultimate shoe to wear with flirty summer dresses and skirts when you want to combine ‘feminine’ and ‘just off the beaten track’ kind of styles. The classic cowboy boot keeps the leg elongated rather than cutting off at the mid-calf or ankle. Felder Felder led the pack with this trend, showcasing short and long dresses or skirts with the cowboy boot. Note, you can have fun with this look; there is no need to stick to just brown or black boots. Stay away from pink though!

A classic look to try with cowboy boots is acid wash denim shorts, a plain white distressed tee and a tan suede jacket – layer with lots of delicate gold chain necklaces! I am sure there is no need to mention that fringed leather jackets or gilets should be avoided, unless you really want to take the cowboy look literally. Try mixing bright colours and abstract patterns to really create a fresh take on such an old style!
