Editors’ Choice w / 23rd Feb 2015

Earlier this week, Ishikawa Records launched their first intimate gig in a living room in Hyde Park. In an effort to recreate the incredible atmosphere, we at In The Middle present to you tracks from the three musicians who played that evening + a few local favourites.

1.
Epilogues
– Sheaf
Beautiful vocals that blend and blur in and out of focus overlayed with guitar work that tugs at something that words just can’t capture.

2.
Devoted Friend
– St. Slow
Devastatingly beautiful – lyrically, melodically and harmoniously.

3.
Rory David Welbrock
– In-between
The raw energy that Rory brought to the evening is evident in this lyrically stunning recording.

4.
Wolf Alice –
Giant Peach
The first taste of Wolf Alice’s forthcoming album is their most refined work yet.

5.
Silvertin
– Sleeping In The River
Leeds based rockers are back after 2 years of writing and recording. The guitar work soars and soars to absolutely carry this song.

Music to sate your appetite for more guitars and moody vocals:
