Hogwarts to Headingley: Actor visits The Arc

Leeds may not be the first place that springs to mind when you think of witchcraft and wizardry, but one group of Uni students struck gold when they bumped into Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis on Friday night.

The actor, best known for playing geek Neville Longbottom in the movies, was photographed in The Arc in Headingley.

The schoolboy turned heartthrob had been in the city to watch rugby player Jamie Peacock’s testimonial game at Headingley Carnegie Stadium last Sunday.

Second-year French and Spanish student Megan Evans posted, ‘One of the best Otley runs, saw Neville Longbottom! What more could you want?’

Alisha Sesum wrote, ‘Love you Neville! Thanks to Matt Lewis for being a proper gent’.

Lewis is originally from Horsforth in Leeds.
