Chokers have been having a revival for the past year, taking us straight back to the 90’s and our pre-adolescent years. Though for 2014 we have moved away from plastic to metal, beads and chain chokers, which are a lot more feminine and not quite so edgy and alternative.

Raf Simons led the way with his collection of chokers in shining metals, that are both pretty and punk and sit perfectly across the collarbone. These more elaborate chokers work wonderfully day or night and with high or low neck garments. They also look gorgeous layered with longer and more delicate chain necklaces.

You will have no trouble finding this trend on the high street either, with Zara, Topshop and New Look offering their own creations in festive gold and silver. I think you’ll find this makes a perfect Christmas present!
