Aberdeen to buy castle for homeless

Students at Aberdeen University have launched a campaign to buy a £6m mansion to house asylum seekers. They argue that the 38-bedroom Scottish castle should not ‘become another playground for the mega rich’ and they want to see the building go to good use. The group hopes to raise the money on a crowdfunding site by Christmas.
