If you keep up to date with the happenings and activities of Snoop Dogg through his Instagram you will be fully aware of the rappers love for memes, his heart-shaped sunglasses, family and, of course, socks. The rapper boasts an impressive collection that ranges from having Biggie’s Ready to Die printed on a pair, East Coast v West Coast rap socks, memes emblazoned on socks and even has a Brick phone themed pair. Naturally, the next step in Snoop Dogg (or the recently rechristened Snoop Lion)’s career was to collaborate with Swedish ‘footwear kings’ Happy Socks in launching a sock line.snoop dogg love

If you have any pre conceptions about what this sock collaboration entails you should leave them right now. The collaboration called “The Art of Inspiration” will showcase the rappers various personalities and sides: Rastafarian Snoop, our old favourite “Gin and Juice” Snoop and the newest Snoop; Painter Snoop sold in ‘Snoop-approved’ box sets. Recently the rapper has taken to abstract paintings as “Sometimes the music in my life don’t explain exactly what I’m going through, so [painting] is another piece of the puzzle”.

Recently revealed in “The Art of Inspiration” short film for Happy Socks that reveals a shirt-less Snoop expressively throwing paint at canvases across the room. The artwork is untamed and expressive, reflecting the spontaneous and positive sprit of Happy Sock’s own brightly adorned sock designs.

The Doggfather will undoubtedly continue to surprise us in the future, but for now if you get stuck on Christmas presents or just fancy a couple of pairs get your hands on the special Snoop-approved box sets from 1st November to have “a piece of Snoop that we can take with us forever”.
