Society Profile: Leeds Quidditch and Harry Potter Society

About: A quirky group of hard core Harry Potter fans. Whether you enjoy the book and film series, or you like the idea of playing Quidditch, this society is worth looking into. From national Quidditch matches against other Universities, to weekly board games, this society has enough Harry Potter for everyone. Leeds Quidditch and Harry Potter Society is one of the biggest societies on campus with a success in the tournaments they play in. For anyone that wants to join, attending the Sorting Ceremony is a must, as you will be sorted into your Hogwarts House!

Where: Baines Wing 2.34 from 7pm-10pm, enjoy watching the films.

Quidditch Practise twice a week

Every month there is a ‘Potions and Pizza’ night held if you fancy some food and cocktails!

Membership: £5 for the year

Special Events: The Sorting Ceremony can’t be missed and is taking place on the 12th October in the Common Room, 6:30pm-9pm. Another event to watch out for is the Divination with SocieTEA event taking place on the 22nd October. If you’re looking for something around Christmas time, the Yule Ball is being held on the 8th December at the Queens Hotel.

The society also holds an annual trip to the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio Tour
