UPDATE – Police appeal after Mint Club death

Police are investigating the death of a woman who collapsed at Mint Club this weekend.

Paramedics attended the scene in the early hours of Sunday morning. The woman was taken to Leeds General Infirmary, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police are currently awaiting tests results to see if the death was related to drugs, after an initial post mortem examination proved inconclusive.

The Gryphon understands 33-year-old Natalie Bond had an 11-year-old son.

Tributes have been paid to Miss Bond via social media.

A friend posted: ‘Natalie was an amazing lady, the best friend I could ask for’.

Another tribute described Natalie as ‘the life and soul of the party’, adding: ‘You were one of a kind. You will be sorely missed’.

Mint Club DJ Alex Simmons described Miss Bond’s death as ‘terribly tragic’.

He added: ‘I’ve never seen or heard of any trouble (at Mint Club). I have DJ-ed at every club in Leeds and it’s one of the best and safest in the city’.

Officers are urging anyone who was in the club at the time and has any information that could help the investigation to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
