One city, one charity, six venues and over 40 artists and bands: if you’re looking for a way to catch the latest in Leeds music and do your bit for the community at the same time, the Oxjam Takeover is for you.
Oxjam takes place throughout the UK during the month of October; the Takeover is a one-day, six-venue event, with a wristband that will get you into performances throughout the day (and night) for just £7.
What you will see on the surface is a great opportunity to catch upcoming local acts, but behind the scenes is a multi-faceted programme, aiming to “fight poverty and social inequality”, “to forge relationships with organisations and individuals within Leeds” and, in doing so, establish itself as a permanent fixture in the Leeds social calendar.
The takeover passed the £2,500 mark on 27th September and the figure is still growing, so get following @Oxjam_Leeds or look up the Oxjam Takeover on Facebook to see a full line-up of the day and to get your early bird ticket.
