Preview: NTS @ The Faversham

Friday 3rd October will see NTS Radio take over the Faversham for a night of eclectic music by
some of the finest DJs on the Hackney-based independent radio station. NTS acts as a platform
for sharing new, old and interesting music with the public from London and further afield, and we’re
more than excited for their first visit to Leeds.

The line-up boasts NTS resident, Nick Tasker, who’s set at Beacons this summer was up there in
our favourites of the festival. His upbeat selection of soulful, jazzy House, Techno, Afrobeat and
whatever other gems he’s managed to find will be guaranteed to make you boogie and, if you’re
not already, turn you into an avid listener of his weekly show.

Kutmah, who made his name as an underground DJ and artist in Hollywood, is no stranger to
Leeds, and played at (now closed) Beat Bar earlier this year. If his February set is anything to go
by, we’re in for a treat this Friday. Expect the unexpected, because Kutmah’s record collection is
full of anything and everything, but rest-assured, it’s carefully selected and fearless.
Steven Julien aka. Funkineven, the ‘funk master’, will headline the night. With releases on Floating
Points’ Eglo Records, the London-based producer is sure to enliven the event with his sounds
reminiscent of 80s Funk, Electro and Acid.

Online tickets to NTS at the Faversham are available on Resident Advisor and paper tickets can be
bought from the venue.
