News | ‘Unconscious’ student treated at Leeds Ball

A student has been treated by paramedics at the Leeds Ball.

The female student was taken from Mine nightclub on a stretcher and received treatment in an ambulance. She was driven to hospital at approximately 1.10am at the event on Saturday.

A witness told LS the student appeared to be ‘unconscious’.

A second-year English student described seeing the woman escorted from the Union by a St John Ambulance team, accompanied by a friend holding her hand. He said: ‘It was quite alarming seeing such a big group of paramedics carrying her out’.

It is not known at this stage whether the student’s condition was alcohol-related.

A Union spokesperson was unable to provide a comment due to patient confidentiality.
