Last seen in the nineties the Mule is making a comeback. After edging its way back into fashion in the past few seasons it is the shoe to be coveting for the Summer. The mule is a classic shoe that you can wear with anything and everything, especially in the summer they are the easiest shoes to slip on come day or night. Heeled mules especially look great with cropped trousers or midi skirts because they don’t have an ankle strap cutting up the silhouette. The flat version look great paired with jeans or loose trousers and they make more of a statement than your average summer sandal as well as bridging the perfect gap between when it’s warm but not quite warm enough to wear a sandal. It’s definitely a trend that warms to you as soon as you slide your feet into the shoes – the elegance and simplicity just make mules so wearable. Although Manolo Blahnik is the father of the original mule trend there are some great takes on the high street at a more affordable price tag and come in a variation of heel heights and widths.
