If you’re fortunate enough for your exams to finish in good time, London’s Field Day festival – which is extending its stay in Victoria Park for an extra day in 2014 – is the perfect blowout. Following our Focus On piece, the festival has announced a new set of swish acts that make the event utterly irresistible.
Saturday 7th June
Festival favourite Jamie xx returns for what will doubtless be a corker; Neneh Cherry – on the back of releasing her first album in 18 years – is joined by Rocketnumbernine; and expect latest indie poppers Arthur Beatrice to cause a storm. The weekend will also see DJ sets from 6 Music and Radio 1 tastemakers Jen Long, Marc Riley and Phil Taggart.
Sunday 8th June
For their only London show in 2014, The Pixies are closing the festival. New announcements for day two include 2 piece grunge outfit Drenge and rackety guitar band Childhood.
