We’re matting our claws this week for something a little alternative. Matte your black or white polish for a look that’s sophisticated and chic, or mattify your favourite glitter polish for an explosion of colour. Add a charm or some gems to really give the look a kick.

Nail artists have even been doing designs using matte polish, creating a subtle yet chic finish. Get your hands on a matte top coat so you can do the same: both OPI’s ‘Matte Top Coat’ and Essie’s ‘Matte About You’ are affordable and work wonders.

Give your usual top coat a rest this week by replacing it with one of the suggested top coats above and you’ll be sure to have a set of nails that are bang on trend.
