Two of the biggest societies, RAG and Snowriders, have joined forces to put on the event, with an expected £4,500 of ticket sales going towards Dying to Keep Warm, a charity that gives the elderly emergency heating provisions.
Speaking about the event, Bacchanalia Director Holly Minns said: “We honestly couldn’t be happier with how well students have engaged with the event, there’s now 26 different societies involved and we’re expecting to sell out by this evening. Amazing to see everyones hard work paying off, can’t wait for Saturday now!”
Dying to Keep Warm’s Afroza Ahmed wanted students to know that their: “efforts will save someone’s life”.
Students can expect entertainment from Gin & Juice, LSR and BPM DJs, live music acts such as the Camisado Project and Klezmer Band as well as various food outlets including a hog roast. The event will see parts of the Union transformed into a winter wonderland and a German Bierkeller.
