Alexander Wang goat fur front sweater, £1075, Harrods.
Winter days are synonymous with cosying up to your nearest fireplace in your favourite woollies and Christmas shopping in sweaty stores. Tackle winter blues in style with this Alexander Wang, half wool, half animal grey sweater. As temperatures are dropping rapidly and daylight is only making the odd appearance, we’re all resorting to our annual winter wardrobe to keep us wrapped up in the chilly weather. May it be faux, real or teddy-like, fur is our wardrobe confidante for when the snow starts to fall and the library central heating grinds to a halt.
Oversized in shape and knitted to perfection, this beauty looks divine teamed with a fitted leather skirt or your favourite skinnies, and is big enough to hide the evidence of that extra Terry’s Chocolate Orange you’ve just eaten on the sly. Alexander Wang is the designer to watch this year with his extravagant but magnificent shows in New York, sporting everything from oversized coats to skin-tight leather trousers. We all want a piece of Alexander Wang to hang in our wardrobes but with a staggering price of £1075, it’ll take more than a couple of weeks living off baked beans to afford that kind of splurge. For now, we’ll have to settle with Topshop’s fury gilets and New Look’s chocolate Hollywood glam fur coats… Oh go on then!
Psst! Check out Mr Wang’s bags too. The Rocco bag is the only bag to be seen with this season with it’s butter-soft leather and rock ‘n’ roll studded detail.
